E x p r e s s i n g t h e W i l d
For more than a decade, we have believed that the finest expression of coffee is not engineered. It is revealed.
Long before coffee was cultivated at Misty Mountain and Windy Ridge, the wild microbial community of Boquete had already been at work for generations. Yeasts. Bacteria. Communities of life that shaped this landscape long before anyone thought to name them.
Wildynamics is our name for what happens when we allow that invisible world to speak. Chemical-free methods. Mid-slope location. Recurring mist over elevation. Rocky, mineral-rich terroir. A dry dry season that forces roots down toward the minerals rather than up toward the moist surface. Every choice made to let the forest do what it has always done — before us and beyond us.
What looks like fireflies in these fourteen artworks is a reference to the wild microbial community that shapes every fermentation at the estate. We wanted the unseen to be seen — even if only as a whisper.
Thank you,
The Longboard Family
